Reynolda Reads: The Aviator’s Wife
Cost: Free
Four years before amateur aviator Smith Reynolds undertook an ambitious four month long 17,000 mile flight, Charles Lindbergh made the first solo transatlantic flight in 1927. Shortly after this flight, Lindbergh met his wife, Anne Morrow. The Aviator’s Wife by Melanie Benjamin provides a fictional account of Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s life as an aviator, becoming the first licensed female glider pilot, and the challenges stemming from living in her husband’s shadow.
Join Reynolda Reads to find out how Anne learned to define her own life despite the trials and tribulations she endured. Read the book beforehand to participate in the discussion!
