Plants and Photosynthesis Tour Description

6th grade

Students explore the interconnectedness of abiotic and biotic factors. Students will learn and observe pathways of energy and matter in an ecosystem. Students will also investigate how abiotic factors affect the ability of a living organism to grow, survive and/or create its own food through photosynthesis.

Meets NC Standard Course of Study:  LS.6.1.1, LS.6.1.3, LS.6.2.1,LS.6.1.2, LS.6.1.3, LS.6.2.2

Location: Reynolda Gardens – Formal Gardens

Available: September, October, March, April and May

Accommodates: 8-50 people
