Field Trips

Enrich your students’ learning

Reynolda House and Gardens have a range of field trips connected to Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Visual Arts content and skill development. Careful observation and the spirit of scientific inquiry infuse Gardens field trips.  In the Museum, conversations with art focus on close-looking, develop visual literacy, and engage social and emotional learning competencies. Tours at Reynolda also help local and regional students make connections to regional history and ecosystems.

Plan Your Field Trip

  1. Review the tour menu options and select an offering to fit your students’ needs.
  2. Talk to your administrators or families and identify some possible field trip dates. Check our 2025-2026 tour offering calendar to make sure the options line up with your dates.
  3. Fill out a tour request form at least two months before you’d like to visit. You should immediately receive an email confirming receipt. If you don’t, check for errors; the form didn’t go through.
  4. Look for a tour confirmation and contract by email within 1-2 weeks, or a request for more information. This will provide next steps, including signing and returning a contract and payment prior to your visit.
  5. Arrange transportation and other logistics with your administrator once your tour details are confirmed.
