Language and Culture Tour Description
9th-12th grade Spanish, French, or English language learners
This tour focuses on learning about specific cultural influences in the art and decorative arts of Reynolda House. Tours are conducted in English (though a Spanish language introduction is available). Staff will support the teacher in designing a vocabulary, writing or conversation activity appropriate to the language skills of their students.

Learning objectives: Students who experience a Language and Culture tour will be able to
- Analyze works of art, through interactive discussion, written expression, and/or games
- Discuss how artists take inspiration from the world around them and contribute to the cultural conversation of their time
- Practice visual literacy skills of observation and interpretation
- Practice language skills in the language they are learning, through a written worksheet or other activity
