Living Things Tour Description

1st grade

Students explore how the garden provides the basic needs of living things while discovering composting. Students will also use their senses to make observations about the environment in which living things thrive. Each student takes home a potted plant.

Meets NC Standard Course of Study: EX.1.E.2.2, EX.1.L.2.3, EX.1.L.2.4, 1.L.1, 1.L.1.1, 1.L.1.2, 1.L.1.3, 1.L.2, 1.L.2.1, 1.L.2.2, 2.L.1, 2.L.1.1.  Science & Engineering Practices (SEPs) embedded throughout.
