available March 17 – May 29, 2026 in connection with the exhibition Layered Looking: Making Sense of Art.
4th-12th grade
In this workshop, students can cut, rip, and rearrange corrugated cardboard to create a bas relief sculpture, inspired by Full Moon, 1980 by Louise Nevelson.
- With 8-24 students, this can be completed as part of a 90-minute tour focused on the exhibition only.
- With 25-48 students, total visit time is 2 hours.

Many of the collages are made entirely of cardboard and unpainted

Sometimes collage can be painted all in black, like “Full Moon”

Workshops can also include other media besides cardboard
