Preserving Reynolda House: Reception and Luncheon with Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill

At Reynolda, preservation is more than maintenance—it is an act of devotion: to history, to place, and to the stories that shape us. This same spirit of stewardship animates Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill’s work at Blenheim Palace, her ancestral home. In welcoming her to Reynolda this fall, we acknowledge more than the elegance of one of Britain’s great estates—we affirm a shared conviction: that historic homes, whether in North Carolina or Oxfordshire, must be cared for not only with diligence, but with imagination. Their relevance, after all, lies not behind us, but ahead.

Founder of the acclaimed design firm Woodstock Designs and eldest daughter of the 11th Duke of Marlborough, Lady Henrietta will share insights from her latest book, Blenheim: 300 Years of Life in a Palace. A sumptuous tour of one of Britain’s most storied estates, the book offers a rare view into its public grandeur and private corners, all seen through the eyes of the woman who grew up within its walls.

Co-Chairs Kate Clegg and Margaret Townsend invite you to sponsor this special fundraiser and help preserve Reynolda House as both a historic home and a vibrant space for art, education, and community.

Sponsors are invited to partake in two special engagements:

Tuesday, November 11; 6 – 8 p.m. – SOLD OUT
Reynolda Gardens Brown Family Conservatory
An evening gathering with cocktails, light bites, and a few brief remarks.

Wednesday, November 12; Noon – 2 p.m.
