The Science of Living Things Tour Description
2nd grade
This hands-on, interdisciplinary science field trip is designed to deepen students’ understanding of plants, animals, and their environments while engaging their curiosity and observational skills. Each student takes home a potted plant.
Meets NC Standard Course of Study: LS.2.1.1, LS.2.2.2, ESS.2.1.3, ESS.2.1.2, ESS.2.1.4 + Science & Engineering Practices (SEPs) embedded throughout
Location: Reynolda Gardens – Formal Gardens
Available: September, October, March, April and May
Accommodates: 8-50 people
